Due to lack of funding we do not have the funds this year to blanket mail individual taxpayer refund forms for the Forest Patrol Assessment. You can click on Forest Patrol and down load the form, fill it out and return it with your second half tax payment. If you need assistance, please call the treasurer's office at 740-1115 or stop by and staff will assist you.

The Lewis County property tax roll has been certified. According to RCW 84.56.020 the County Treasurer may now begin accepting payments for the 2012 taxes due. First half payment is due on Monday, April 30, 2012. Second half payment is due on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. You can find the amount due by logging on to the Property Assessment and Tax system on the front page of the county website.

Notice of Tax Judgment Sale
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to the real property tax Judgment and Order of Sale entered by the Lewis County Superior Court on the 6th day of January, 2012, in proceedings for foreclosure of tax liens upon real property I shall on the 10th day of February, 2012, at 9:00 A.M., at the Lewis County Historic Courthouse, (Commissioners meeting room on the second floor), 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, Washington, sell the lands or lots described on the Minimum Bid Sheet (a copy of which is provided free of charge in the Treasurer’s office at the Courthouse) to the highest and best bidder for cash or cashier’s check to satisfy the full amount of taxes, interest and costs adjudged to be due thereon (as listed in the Minimum Bid Sheet). Bidder registration will begin at 8:30 A.M. in the Commissioners meeting room.

The 2011 Certificate of Delinquency was filed with the court as of August 16, 2011. In order to avoid a foreclosure sale of the property all taxes, interest, penalties and costs must be paid prior to the day of sale. The sale date is February 10, 2012
