Services Bureau

CHIEF CIVIL DEPUTY STACY BROWN

The Mission of the Services Bureau is to provide quality support to the other bureaus as well as timely service of civil process, accurate records collection and dissemination, evidence collection and preservation and implementation of modern computer systems to provide quicker and more useful access to information.

The Services Bureau includes the following divisions: Civil, Records, Property and Evidence, Sex Offender Registration, and Division of Emergency Management. The Services Bureau is under the direct supervision of Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown and consists of a Director of Property Management, DEM Deputy Director, DEM Planner, Detective, and 10 Support Technicians.

The Chief Civil Deputy is responsible for carrying out all civil actions by Superior Court, including evictions, property sales, and abatements. In addition, she is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all records, involving all five divisions of the Services Bureau. This brings many challenges and opportunities on a daily basis. One of the positive and exciting changes was making the transition to a paperless report system in October 2000. Currently we are implementing scanning technologies and mobile data systems.
