 EFFECTIVE JULY 1st, 2011 - ALL INCOMING MAIL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF LEGAL MAIL, WILL NEED TO BE ON A POSTCARD.

Inmate mail rules

Items inmates are allowed:

  • Inmates may receive books and/or magazines from the publisher or a recognized bookstore.
  • Pictures if they are turned into postcards

Money Orders will still be accepted via mail, however no notes or letters should be included. Please note "Money Order" on the outside of the envelope.

Items inmates are not allowed:

  • Obscene or sexually explicit materials by its nature or content is not acceptable in this facility
  • Mail which threatens illegal activity
  • Mail which represents a potential health or hygiene problem
  • Contraband being sent or received
  • Discussion of Escape
  • Code when contents are not understood by scanner
  • Cash or personal checks
  • Postage stamps, stickers or Polaroid type photos
  • Correspondence from another correctional facility
  • Items available on commissary
  • Hard back book(s)
  • General correspondence disguised as legal mail
  • Items not allowed in the facility
