Property and Evidence Division

The Property and Evidence Office is located off-site from the Law and Justice Center. Property items may be picked up Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays) 8:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Property and Evidence Division is responsible for the overall security, storage and proper disposition of evidence obtained by officers of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The Director of Property Management and one Support Technician II are assigned to the Property and Evidence Division.

It is important to call and make an appointment for any release of property. There are release procedures for all items and some are more in-depth than others.
