Coroner Inquest 2011-01
The Coroner's Inquest into the death of Ronda Reynolds will begin on Monday October 10, 2011. It will be held at the Lewis County Law & Justice Center, District Courtroom #2, third floor.
Space is limited so seating has been assigned as follows: 20 seats for witnesses and people who have been determined as Persons Especially Interested (PEIs), 20 for media and 20 for the public.
On Monday 10/10/11 the jurors will be allowed into the courtroom first. Then the witnesses, the media and finally there will be 20 seating passes handed out to the public on a first come first serve basis. Once the 20 passes are handed out no more public seating will occur. The public will need a seating pass to be admitted to the coutroom.
Seating passes will be handed out every morning after that first come first serve until the 20 are gone.
Per the inquest rules I have subpoenaed witnesses to testify and they have the option of filing motions to have those subpoenas quashed. I have received four such motions and will rule on those motions Tuesday morning (09/27/11). My written decisions on those motions will be posted here in the afternoon on that date to allow time for the attorneys in the case to be notified of my decision. I have also recived a motion from a party requesting that the manner of death of suicide not be given to the inquest jury as an option for their decision. I will also rule on that motion Tuesday 09/27/11 and that decision will be posted here as well.
